About WMU

Founded in 1888, Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) is a missions organization whose purpose is to challenge christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God.

The WMU at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is dedicated to reaching others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this through hands-on mission activities in our church and surrounding community, as well as participating in national and world missions.

Recent Mission Projects

• Collection of items for the Baptist Children's Home
• Shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse outreach
• Provided breakfast for staff of local elementary school
• Monetary donation for disaster relief
• "Adopt a Student" Program
• Thanksgiving boxes for needy families
• Goody baskets to church shut-ins
• Item donations to "Red Box" Ministry for women prisoners
• Donation of Bibles to graduates of local community colleges
• Angel Tree for needy family
• Monetary donation to Pregnancy Crisis Center

How to Get Involved

We meet the first Monday evening of every month at 7:00. We invite all women to come fellowship with us.
